Are you new here? Wondering how it all works?
There’s a number of ways to get around GrowthBooks. Here’s an overview:
1. The Menu - it has 3 levels :)
See that yellow menu bar across the top, it says HOME, BOOKS, etc… ?
That’s Level 1.
If you click on any of those items, it will take you to that area of this website.
If you hold your mouse over any of those items (eg BOOKS), you will see a sub menu appear in white letters on the orange bar beneath it (eg Health, Spirit, Business…)
That’s Level 2.
As you bring your mouse down to the orange bar and run it along the white submenu items, they will turn dark. Click on any one of those, and it will take you to another area of the site.
If you hold your mouse over some of these items (eg Health), you will see another menu drop down below it (eg Acupuncture, Aromatherapy, Ayurveda, etc).
That’s Level 3.
Click on any of those items, and they will take you to an even more specific area of the site. To make your choices easier, we have tried to choose a few of the highest quality products each category. But sometimes, there are still lots because, well, they really are all good!
2. The Search Boxes
On the left side of the page, under “Subscribe to Our Newsletter”, you’ll see the search boxes. You can search products or articles within the site. You can type in an author, title or keyword, and press ‘Go’. You will then see a list with any items that have your search term in the product description.
I better warn you, our current search engine is a bit fussy- it doesn’t recognise boolean operators (like AND, OR, NOT). So if you are going to use a search term, it will need to be the exact term that will show up in the product description, otherwise just use one word.
Here’s an example, if you are looking for books by Jean M. Auel, you can type in “Jean M. Auel” or “jean m. auel” and you will see the search results fine, because that is how we have written her name in the product description.
However, if you write “jean auel” it won’t show, and if you write “jean m auel” (without the .), it won’t work either.
So, If you are unsure of an exact term, try using less words. For example, if you search for “Jean”, it will still show you all the books by Jean M. Auel, plus a few others.
The same goes if you are searching the articles :)
If you are searching for something, and unsure if it is there, send an email to info@growthbooks.com and we can confirm whether it’s available.
3. The Tags
See those grey words on the left in all different sizes? That’s a tag cloud. The bigger the words are, the more often they appear throughout this site. You can click on any of those words and you will see all the articles related to that topic. Try it now, as an experiment.
Pretty soon, we will have a tag cloud to help you get around the products section of the site too. Keep an eye out for it! We think tags are a groovy navigation tool :)
4. The Home Page
If you click on the GrowthBooks Logo at the top of the page, it will take you back to the Home Page. Right there, you’ll see Our Favourite products, the Most Recent Articles, and The Hottest Articles (that means, the pages that people visit the most.)
I hope this page has told you everything you need to know to navigate this site with ease. If you ever need help or are unsure about anything, please feel free to email info@growthbooks.com and we will do our best to help you out.
Many blessings!
