Feng Shui is an ancient art of creating harmonious environments. Originating in China over 3000 years ago, it is still actively practiced in various forms in China and other Asian countries. The literal translation of Feng Shui means “wind water”. This refers to the interrelationships of elements – such as wind and water – in Feng Shui, that guide the flow of energy through space. While Feng Shui is a science that integrates architectural and planning concepts as well as space, weather, geomagnetism and astronomy, it also has mystical components that define the relationships between space and indivudal wellbeing, such as health, wealth and relationships. In western countries, a number of forms of Feng Shui are practiced, both traditional as well as modified versions.
