It is said that one is nearer to God in the garden… and surely there is truth in that. Being in the garden is definitely nearer to Nature. At night time, if you’re lucky, you might even see the stars! It is sad to think that in our fast-paced modern world, many people don’t even have a garden, let alone make the time to spend in it. Gardening is a powerful way to reconnect with the earth, and with the rhythms and cycles of nature. Gardening can also be a healing practice- being healing for both the gardener and the garden. And it can also be a practice of love. Everything in existence, including gardens, need love to grow.
