Being a parent is a journey that is full of the deepest rewards and most personal challenges. Before my own daughter was born, a wise woman said to me, “If you want to learn unconditional live, have children! They are the greatest teachers of that.” Children thrive on love, acceptance and positive reinforcement. They also need safety and protection. And most of all, they need good role models. For many conscious parents, the journey of parenting a child, can correspond with an inner journey- revisiting your own childhood, consolidating the gifts that your own parents gave you, and unlearning the habits that no longer serve.
